Read your emails. A horror story. How to keep up.

Emails. We get way too many of them.

Sometimes it is hard to keep up. Though there’s a definite importance to keeping up with emails. Whether it be a terms of service update, an overdue bill you forgot about or an important notice reminding you to make an account change.

I was a long time account holder on a crypto website, holding a proprietary coin worth thousands of dollars. Well long story short I skimmed past multiple emails relating to this crypto currency and because of this I lost nearly half of it. Turns out the company had sent multiple emails warning about the currency being decommissioned, and thus the value going to nothing. If I hadn’t missed some of these emails, I wouldn’t have lost so much money. Goes to show the importance of keeping up with alerts.

No matter who you are, what you do, or what your age is, some company you deal with is using email to contact you and to send updates that may or may not be important to you. Do not make the same mistake I made. Make sure you’re not missing out on emails you might not find important, but actually are. Just remember, sometimes the emails you may find spammy or illegitimate are the ones you needed to read. Be cautious about email, but not paranoid. Make sure to check your spam box too.

There are a couple ways I like to keep up with it all. Click the image below to see the tips.
